About the blog:
Practically Perfect Planner is a blog about bringing joy to every event in your life and the lives of others – through fast organization, easy planning, and money saving tips.
It’s all about life, love, and lifestyle – because everyone can be PRACTICALLY PERFECT.
Practically Perfect Planner is also a division of Meehan & Associates, a 20 year Las Vegas based event & media management company. You can learn more about Meehan & Associates HERE.
3P is all about taking 30 years of event experience and yes…well…”tricks of the trade”; and sharing everyday life on the event side of things for all of us at home. This is a brand new area for us, and we are hoping to celebrate, create, and entertain with all of you. Life’s events come upon us fast & furious and we are all hoping to lighten both your load and ours as we get to know you. This blog is truly all about what makes you happy inside and out. If it is too hard, don’t do it – if it is fun, DO IT AGAIN!
We’re the crew that makes up part of the “3P Team”…plus an eventful family of 6!
Brenda is the creative brains behind the bunch, as well as co-owner of Meehan & Associates. Before launching into the dream and now reality of 3P;Brenda worked in Canada as the Executive Director of a Northern Ontario Downtown Business Association. There she gained experience that has been key to the success of Meehan & Associates as well as to the potential of Practically Perfect Planner! With Meehan & Associates, she’s conquered everything from event promotion and production on both a small and large-scale level, event ownership, volunteer management, committee structure, to advertising & PR. She has truly been blessed to have received so many opportunities. Developing concepts to bring the community into all projects, adding a personal touch, and being more cost effective with creative themes are her ingredients to a successful and polished event. She truly believes that every endeavor should be an extension of the home and who you are. 3P is more about Brenda’s desire and passion to bring joy to others through simple yet innovative ideas and she is looking forward to the new and exhilarating challenge.
Chris is our business whiz, and helps with both the practical & creative sides of 3P as well being the other co-owner of Meehan & Associates. Chris was with Redken Laboratories for over 23 years and in the last six he was vice president of sales for the entire United States. His background provides both Meehan & Associates and Practically Perfect Planner with extensive experience in organization of programs, large-scale administration, national sales & marketing, and budgeting. With his strong desire to help others be successful, and his unique wit…he’s a key piece of the puzzle that makes up what we’re all about here at 3P. He also heads up the “man cave” – event planning from a man’s perspective…and has some creative “out of the cave” ideas from how to treat your significant other to a surprise evening out or in, to how to help host an awesome Super Bowl party. He often provides us with much needed comic relief, while also providing some keen insight into the businessand logistical side of things.
Jessi is our online media & social networking gal, with some writing & photography skills to boot. She grew up as an “event kid” both attending and assisting on the majority of events Meehan & Associates produced since she was about 10 years old. While most kids were out trick or treating, she was helping out (and scoring LOTS of free candy) at large community events at large Las Vegas hotels. By the time she was 14 she was setting up greenrooms for talent at huge local radio events with Brenda. She moved out to LA at the age of 20 and held a myriad of different titles while also studying photography…but now she’s back in Vegas to bring her skills to the table for 3P and Meehan & Associates. With a background in everything from event planning, to pre-school teaching, to seminar production & sales, to internet marketing, car-sale negotiating, and photography…she’s a bit of a “Jane of all trades” around here. At this stage in her life doing this blog is an unknown adventure, but she’s excited to be jumping into something new.
