Practically Perfect Planner knows there’s something comforting about warm cookies and cold milk. Now…there’s something COOL about baking up an afterschool bouquet of GLUTEN FREE peanut butter cookies with only 3 ingredients, and in less than 20 minutes! With a really “rad” recycled “cookie-chic” centerpiece to boot!  This simple recipe is fantastic for kids that are just learning to bake,  and a fun after school snack when served in a funky and environmentally friendly way, and paired with our go-to beverage of choice: milk from Anderson Dairy! You can keep it simple for afterschool, or dress it up with a little 3P style to give as a gift. Check out the how-to below for this ridiculously easy recipe!

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 6 to 8 minutes. Do not overbake! These cookies are best when they are still soft and just barely brown on the bottoms.

Once your cookies have cooled for about 5-10 minutes: get ready to build your easy peasy and environmentally friendly cookie bouquet! You’ll need your cookies, one half gallon recycled milk jug that’s been emptied and rinsed, a few bamboo skewers, and some recycled grocery bags/tissue. We love our local Anderson dairy, and save our milk jugs to be recycled, or reused in a variety of ways!

Carefully add a skewer to each cookie, taking care not to crumble in the process:

Add a few pieces of tissue or recycled grocery bags to the inside of your milk jug, then carefully arrange cookie skewers like flowers. Add a pop of color with gift tissue or a paper napkin behind your bouquet and BOOM! You’ve got a go-to snack that each child can pull out, gobble up, and get to finishing their homework! You can also add a printed potholder through the milk jug handle to create a bow, give a bit of dimension, add a pretty tea-towel to ground, and craft up a quick gift or “cookie chic” centerpiece.
