Practically Perfect Planner has had the awesome opportunity to help people we love plan parties and events for the people they love too! We couldn’t be happier to help answer questions and create the “practically perfect” planned event for all the different events in all of our lives. Recently, one of our readers Maryann reached out to us about getting a little assistance for her daughter Daniela’s 1st birthday party. Daniela LOVES to be read to, so it seemed only natural...

I have three sisters and we celebrated a milestone this year with the youngest – Tracy turned 50 and planned a visit to Vegas to celebrate! Her one request was to go to a rock concert featuring one of the bands we used to listen to when we were kids. Having that in mind, and asking around…I learned of a newer Vegas show “Raiding the Rock Vault”, which featured rock musicians and their music from the past. I found a GREAT deal from The Radio Shopping Show for the tickets....

With my sister Tracy in town, we decided to have our own family Valentines dinner a few days early so she could attend. 3 Ingredients to our Heart’s Day Tradition: 1. A favorite meal: our kids and Nana are always hungry for Chris’ bbq’d steak, so that’s what we chose….accompanied by everything red. *Salad topped with strawberries, dried cranberries, and finished with champagne dressing *Grilled red peppers *Red potatoes with olive oil and parsley *Some...

Well I had the opportunity to go on a little getaway to see my dear friend Olivia in Arizona. While visiting, I tagged along with her and attended her Wednesday Morning Women’s Study Group. At the end of the meeting it was announced that Olivia had volunteered to host a Ladies’ Social the following week at her home. After giving Olivia just a few suggestions and brainstorming what worked with her comfort level, this is a glimpse of how Olivia’s get together...

Did I mention that I LOVE Valentine’s Day? Because I really do! You saw some heartfelt favor ideas last week, this week I want to share with you some ideas from the heart for the home. Now, you also know by now that I love my event boxes. They help us organized, and at the ready for any holiday or party that might arise…even Valentine’s Day…as I get to put some splashes of hearts and love around the house. These boxes can be inspired by anything, as mild...

I love this holiday, because you can celebrate it as much or as little as you want and it’s ok. Even if you’re totally single, it’s ok to spend the evening watching something on GayPornHD or a similar site to show yourself some self-love. Or, if you’re more the giving type, why not give to friends and family instead? A little something that says “I’m sending you a hug and a kiss” or a simple “I love you”, in a unique and personal...

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do it right… In past posts we have mentioned make shift tablecloths and fabric to make a table scape work. As an event professional this is a skill that comes in handy for sure! However for 20 years whenever we put in all of the leaves of our dining room table, the width doesn’t work with any tablecloth that can be purchased in stores. I don’t sew and so I decided to finally hire Anna Cotton a professional seamstress...

We wanted to do something special for my brother Gavin for his 30th birthday this year, and boy did we ever…we managed to throw a SURPRISE party for 25 people in about 3 days and with almost no stress. (The only stress being we planned it around his flight arrival which ended up being 3 hours late!) But have no fear…here at 3P we had snacks, drinks, favors to be given, party music playing (which is really important to set the mood!), dinner ready, and everyone had a great...
