Comments Off on Taking Out the Scarves and Decorating the Tree for…Easter? A Unique Easter Tablescape!

With weather in the high 80’s…you would think it’s time for us to put away our scarves…but not here at 3P. We repurposed our winter pashminas into colorful table cloths to anchor our “Keep It Simple” Easter table and set the color theme. We layered two Easter colored pashminas under a handmade scarf that Brenda recently brought home from Oaxaca…and everything else just seemed to come together. The funny part, was that we realized the scarves...

Comments Off on Bite The Bullet!

Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do it right… In past posts we have mentioned make shift tablecloths and fabric to make a table scape work. As an event professional this is a skill that comes in handy for sure! However for 20 years whenever we put in all of the leaves of our dining room table, the width doesn’t work with any tablecloth that can be purchased in stores. I don’t sew and so I decided to finally hire Anna Cotton a professional seamstress...

2014 is shaping up to be a great year for us here at Practically Perfect Planner. We’ve been so busy over the last few months with the Holidays, and we had an absolute blast celebrating with family and friends from all over. Christmas went off without a hitch, with the entire Meehan family over to our house for Christmas Eve…followed by a simple Santa Breakfast for Christmas morning. The 3P Basics that carried us through Christmas without causing...

So, we’ve made our “Snourds and Snowkins”…we’ve started putting together our Holiday Home Decor….now it’s time to add the finishing touches with Holiday Wreaths, both fresh and perfectly preserved! One fantastic event basic that is affordable, easy to do, and unique…is to use wreaths to ground your favorite pieces in high traffic areas. The wreath used below to ground our Christmas candles and a fresh pot of poinsettias, was a fresh...

I know you all saw how saw quickly we were able to pull together our Fall Décor, and we had so much fun with it we honestly didn’t want to change everything for Christmas! But, we love the holidays and part of our traditions during the week or so after Thanksgiving, is to commence “the changing of the gourds”. But before we go into the fun we had decorating the house…my mom created something really “out there” the other afternoon, and we’re so excited to share it...

Comments Off on Girlfriend Talk: The Best “Hag Bag Weekend” EVER!

Hi girlfriends! Can I just tell you that a few weeks ago, I had the BEST weekend ever with some of my long-time girlfriends? They flew in from all over Canada, Mexico, etc. to make it, and I was so...

Comments Off on Trunk or Treat Simplified + How to Save for Next Year’s Halloween Festivities!

For the past few years, we’ve been an active part of local “Trunk or Treat” events for our local community here in Henderson. We participate with Life Springs Christian Church, and it’s always a great time for local kids and their families. So, what is “Trunk or Treat”? Trunk or Treat is a community event that provides a safe, well lit, supervised and fun place for young children to trick or treat! Everyone gathers together, sometimes at an elementary school, community...
