Think red and get ahead! After digging out things from the Valentine’s Box and ensuring red and pink paper products are at the ready…reflection gives me “heart start” on why this occasion is important to me. Ever thought with all of the craziness of the post-holidays, the last thing I want is to partake in yet another decor and/or gift giving event? Been there, done that. But then, when I self examine my motivation to “heart everything” up…the truth is…as I dive into my heart for this holiday…I do it for me!

My love language is gift giving with a cutesy thoughtful flair, so Valentine’s Day is right up my alley. And as I add hearts to everyday life, the happiness I receive about faces and gives me a hug…adding joy to what would otherwise be a cold winter month. So let’s share some flair and simplify a couple of Valentine’s vibes to express and not stress.

The 3P keys to any successful table-scape are to improvise, use what you’ve got on hand, and of course…find fun and creative ways to think outside the box with your essentials! We found something new that we wanted to share…how cool is this?! Our friend and wedding expert Debbie, had gifted us adorable paper goods that we’d saved for just the right occasion! We used a shabby chic paper banner from Rifle Paper Company to literally spell out LOVE on the table! Can you believe it? Every letter you need in the box to spell out anything you want! We also featured funky tear-away paper placemats from Two’s Company. Their site is full of incredible offerings! These mix and match designs can help create any creative table in a pinch! You can find more paper table decor HERE from companies like Hester & Cook!

Rifle Paper company also shined with floral place-cards that tied in perfectly to the “hearts and flowers” theme of Valentine’s Day dinner done easy! Adding pink square paper plates ensured no time would be wasted doing dishes, and simple solid cocktail napkins were unfolded to ground our Rock Star conversation hearts.

Not sure what glasses go with a love-scape table? Have a few cute ones but not enough to match them all up? No problem! We reused two sets of red plastic champagne glasses to serve beautiful beverages. Anchor each cup with a couple of heart doilies and love is most definitely in the air!

This table scape is fun for company, great for the family, and could create a lovely lunch! Remember Olivia’s lovely salad social last year? Keeping it simple is the way to go for Valentine’s Day, or any occasion of love! No grand gestures here, just practical and pretty….fun and functional! Stay tuned later on as we roll out our sweetheart meal made easy and heart healthy!
