To “protect and serve” is often the phrase attributed to those in our Police forces, who fight a completely different yet essential batle locally everyday. Brenda’s father, the kids “Grampa” Maurice was an RCMP officer (or Royal Canadian Mounted Police). We honor him and his efforts as the Commissioner of Social services…or the “Clark Gable of the Welfare Set” as he was fondly referred to, being the handsome man he was! This special tin features his publicity photo, as he took part in the prestigious “musical ride” with the RCMP and this tin was even sold in the local towns around the Niagara region!

In memory, and in honor of those who’ve fought on the front lines and those supporting on the front lines at home…Happy Veteran’s Day!
