Happy Veteran’s Day / Remembrance Day!

Some people use today as a day to celebrate while honoring loved ones. Some people have BBQ’s or the family over for dinner.  Some people share a moment of silence. Some might give a gift to a special Vet in their life. Since we save all of the décor we use throughout the year…some of our décor from our 4th of July parties, can double as décor for a honorary dinner, or a patriotic way to wrap a gift! It really does help to keep that “Event Basic” in mind, because you’ll never know when you’ll need to grab something out of one of your boxes on a whim. A few patriotic items and spending time with family/friends is what today is all about.

Vday 2

When I woke up this morning, two of my cousins Monica and Kat had sent me some incredible photos of my great grandfather Walther (my Mom’s Grandpa) who was in the Canadian Army, my great uncle Jim (my Dad’s uncle) who was a PFC Paratrooper in the US Army for WW2, my Grandpa John who was a Merchant Marine during WW2.
