“Hoo” would have thought a Valentine from the heart could be so sentimental, yet simple and inexpensive? Fill a photo box with more than just snapshots…fill your box with love! Say “I love you OWL-WAYS” as you open a box that’s both a gift, and an evening in one! Small tokens and big plans for the Practically Perfect Valentine’s Day for the one you love. Plus, an “all hearts and flowers” way to say “I love you” when your sweetie walks in the door…move over, Cupid…you’ve got nothin’ on us!

1. Grab a  picture perfect Photo Box – I picked up these lovebirds for $2.00 at Michael’s, and they could be found at any local craft store!

2. Start collecting existing sentimental items from home to warm the heart!

– I popped in two pics of us on awesome trips.

– A keepsake that envokes an “us” story.

3. Grab a favorite DVD that you haven’t viewed in awhile and add to your love box. Mine was “The Bodyguard”…you could also add a CD of your choice to set the tone for romance!

4. Romantic recipe: add a copy to your box as a preview of what’s to come! Shhh…Chris loves beef stroganoff, and since I seldom make this dish…I’ve stocked up all of the ingredients to prepare this as our Valentine’s splurge!

5. Two glasses of champagne, ready for that ice cold perfect pour of bubbly as you reminisce and your evening begins.

VOILA – a gift, a full evening complete with dinner…all in one box chock full of love.

Watching your sweetheart unpack a plethora of romance, and can be a passionate way to hark back to days of early love is a wonderful way to let cupid back into your hearts this Valentine’s Day! Tell stories of trips past, enjoy your most loved meal, sip Champagne and sing along to love songs…remember all the reasons you fell in love. Our “Frieder” Anna reminded us of these *lovely* ideas that she used for her sweetheart, and we had to share!

Two ways to decorate the bedroom in a cupid-quick flash: hang paper hearts from the ceiling on string, twice, or even fishing line. There are precut hearts in the dollar bin at Target…OR you can repurpose old gift wrap, tissue, and colored paper. Use Glue Dots or tape for hanging…and you’ll have love literally falling from the sky!

Bring Valentine’s Day to the bedroom with real or faux flower petals for the bed and you’re in business!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
