Practically Perfect Planner At-A-Glance: We’re LIVE!

Wow…big day today! Can you believe it’s already NOVEMBER!? Thanksgiving and all the holidays will be here before we know it. You know what else came up before we knew it…OUR BIG LAUNCH DAY! Woo-hoo! It’s so great to have you all here with us on this journey, and to kick things off we wanted to offer some highlights of the last few weeks, as well as what’s to come in the next few weeks! Hope you had a safe and happy Halloween, and we also hope you’ll share some of your decorations and ideas with us. We’d love to see them. To us, it’s all about living life at it’s fullest and learning practical tips & tricks to how to enjoy everyday events…stress-free!

Today may be our official day of “going live”…but let me tell you we have been hard at work over here for a while! We’ve been setting tables, planning events, celebrating birthdays, traveling for seminars, implementing all our social media, photographing everything and learning A LOT. Chris has been an incredible help in getting the business side going, and we’re excited for him to start posting some ideas and insights from the “Man Cave” soon! We’re feeling crazy grateful for all of it, and even more grateful that we get to share this new phase of our business with so many wonderful people.

We started off the month by getting our house all decorated for Fall, using some great pieces we already had on hand, and making a quick trip to Vons for some beautiful pumpkins and gourds. We also scored some yummy bulk tea, and spiced up a few focus points around our kitchen. This month we held not one, but TWO really successful meetings at home for Operation Christmas Child, which will be a huge focus this month as collection week is just around the corner. Giving back is definitely a 3P priority as well a personal ingredient for joyful living. You can check how we prepped for our meetings HERE, and we’ll soon be posting about our Countdown event too.

Our Operation Christmas Child Countdown Event with Beth Fisher from Channel 13 News was a total blast & a big success: Here’s to packing gift-filled shoeboxes to send to hurting children around the world!

We had a few gifts to give and a few birthdays to celebrate, including Brenda’s! You can see some great gifts we created for some important girlfriends in our lives HERE and HERE:

And….Happy Birthday Brenda! We did a little birthday celebrating and even got all of the kids together via Skype.  More than gifts, a banner, and cake…having us plan dinner and arrange for her to chat with all of the kids at one time was a “Practically Perfect” way to make mom happy. God Bless Technology, eh?

We also took our turn to bring a snack to Brenda’s Women’s Study Group, made really easy caramel apples, with tea and cider attached for a special warm touch, and learned how to use a sparkle pumpkin as a cute bowl for veggie dip! See our fast, easy creations HERE:

We even had a few dinner parties at home with friends, which we made a busy day easier by using that great Fall décor, as well as centerpieces we’d already put together. Expect to see some quick how-to’s on those tables and buffets in the next few weeks!

And somehow, during all of the work and all of the fun…we managed to attend not one, not two, but THREE different and incredible seminars. The most recent was the BlogHerPro ’13 Conference in San Francisco. Our brains are still reeling a bit from all of the incredible information we learned, all of the wonderful women we met, and all of the inspiration we flew home with. We’ll be sharing our experience with you very soon.

Phew…are you dizzy yet? I am. Now that we’re all done with Halloween, and even helped our grandma’s celebrate yesterday…we’re ready to launch into what comes next and BOY do we have a lot to share with you in November. Everything from tablescapes, OCC Collection week, Girlfriend “Hag Bag” weekends, the Man Cave, Thanksgiving, and beyond. Did we mention how thankful we are to have you along for the ride?
