Shower Savvy Decor Made Simple + DIY Favors Gone Glittery: Marissa’s Bridal Shower Brunch Part 2!

Posted on Jun 10 2015 - 4:23pm by Brenda and Jessi Meehan

Shower decor can be a breeze when you re-purpose past party favorites for current party fun! We found linens for a steal from Tablecloths Factory, dug through our St.Patrick’s Day event box, and made a few budget savvy purchases for favors and gifts. Our menu was a snap, as our bride is a mega-fan of breakfast: so our Blarney Bake (recipe available here), fresh fruit + her must-have potatoes were key players. Here’s how we dressed or shower-savvy tables + served up an ab-fab brunch!

Going Crimson and Clover without looking Christmas was simple, by choosing deep crimson and lime green as our base. Centerpieces were a cinch, we filled green vases with fresh red florals, grounding each bouquet with green netting and surrounding each vase with sparkly shamrocks on each side, these were left over from Chris’ 60th bday! These vases pulled double duty as prizes for winners of our table games: whoever had a birthday the closest to the wedding date earned themselves a beautiful bouquet to take home. Scattering a bit of bling bling and flameless candles in tiled votives (we added a touch of height to scattered votives for dimension)…these light-up lovelies added shine, and pulled all of our elements together.

We dressed up paper products with real linen, and anchored each plate with a gold charger. Each setting was garnished with a proper china tea cup (for an additional fancy feel), plus a favor was featured that doubled as place-cards and a thank you! Our good frieder Jana was kind enough to spray paint 24 mini flower pots (purchased for $1 each!) and we filled each with Brighton mints and a touch of tissue.

We decked out our bakers rack with game prize gifts + all the date night dandy’s our guests brought for our beloved bride (gifts to be featured later…)…and set out a buffet of tasty treats and brunch must-haves for all of our lovely ladies to devour. Our Costco tiered serving platters gave a professional look while maximizing space and adding dimension.
