The techniques and tips we’ve picked up along the way may be a mixed bag, with ideas from family, friends, and event professionals of all ages. With the Meehan Clan and our gatherings you’ll be sure to hear from a cast of thousands.
Sharing joy, incomparable special moments, unique personalized fun in yours and everyone’s lives is not about spending money, or spending hours with a glue gun in–hand (we don’t even know how to use those darn things anyway! But we do love Glue-Dots!) and it’s never about being perfect. It’s all about love. Love for others, love for life, love for yourself, and DOING what you love everyday.
Gift giving, party planning, decorating, meal-making…sometimes it’s enough to strike fear in the heart of the most organized and passionate person. But the good news is, it doesn’t have to be that way. The pressure is OFF! Like my aunt reminded us…my mom always says, “you can get away with A LOT, as long as you set a pretty table!”
We’re a mother/daughter team, each with different strengths that when combined, are well…Practically Perfect! You’ll also be hearing from the “Man Cave” on occasion, aka Chris…the PC (or Prince Charming) of 3P:
I’m Brenda, and I’m here to tell you that sometimes, this blog may seem like a day in the life of a Canadian event planner in Las Vegas, and at other times be an example of a mid-life woman figuring out the best Practically Perfect Plan for working, giving back to the community, and at the same time being not only a good wife, but a good mom. I’ve got one awesome son, plus 3 bonus adult kids I adore. I’m trying to stay healthy, make a living, keep my spiritual side smiling, and make space for quality time with friends. PHEW! Sound familiar anyone?
Meet Jessi!
I’m Jessi, one of those adult bonus kids, and I’m the one who just moved back home to Las Vegas! Check out the photo from my roadtrip! I simply couldn’t turn down this crazy and amazing opportunity to do what I love, with the people I love most. While I admire the people who can: I myself have never been a crafter, or a do-er of grand gestures. I prefer the little things, the small gifts that are big on HEART. Luckily, I’ve been watching my mom make great gifts, cook awesome meals, and set easy yet magazine-worthy tables for 20 years…so I think I scored in that arena! My happy place is often on hiking trails or in the kitchen making people I love meals that they love. Balancing work, sometimes school, and finding time to make myself and others laugh is my M.O.
All we can really say is: stay tuned and fasten your seat belts as we unpack quick, inexpensive fun and joy for all of our fast-paced lives.
