Inside the Cave –
Blue Cheese is one of my favorite foods, and a salad that combines all of my favorite flavors is right up my alley! For the Man Cave’s Go-To-Salad: you can’t go wrong with a wedge! I love it when Jessi makes the salads, it’s time consuming and she does a way better job on scoring more “presentation points” than I do! Alas, sometimes it does fall back on me and I do my best, however my good friend John just reminded (and served) all us of a GREAT summer alternative salad. SIMPLE, EASY, and TASTES GREAT!
The Blue Cheese Wedge Salad
You’ll be taking a whole head of Ice Berg lettuce, and cutting it into quarters, and serving one quarter per person.
(So plan accordingly when buying the lettuce for your meal.)
John pre-chills his salad plates in the freezer. Nice touch during the hot summer months!
We live in Las Vegas, the number one tourist city in the U.S. Everyone loves the buffets! We all love choices, stick with a winner and offer your own salad “buffet”…
Here’s the How-To on this Man Cave Go-To:
Wedge Salad Buffet items: (serves 6)
– Lettuce quarters (2-3 small heads of Iceberg, cut in 1/4’s)
– 1 large Chopped white onion
– 2 Large Chopped roma tomatoes
– 3/4 cup Blue Cheese crumbles
– Blue Cheese Salad Dressing (or for the real Man Caver’s – Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing!
3P Salad Tip: It’s DIFFERENT, plus easy, fast, refreshing and tasty. Present and serve as in our pictures, have your pre-chilled salad plates ready to go, and PRESTO! Enjoy your PRACTICALLY PERFECT “MAN CAVE” SUMMER SALAD!
