Mother’s Day gift giving couldn’t be any more easy or fun! Fill a mason jar (which are super trendy right now) with just enough customized items to bring Mom some Joy on her day…and there you have it: Joy in a Jar!
We picked up a few things from Target, as well as mixed and matched a few items we already had on hand from shopping the sales earlier in the year and crafted up 3 different jars full of pampering for the special women in our lives. Can you believe this awesome smelling Lavender Epsom Salt was only $5 at Target for the whole bag?! Check out what else we included:
– After Sun Care (for the tanning Moms out there!)
– Body Lotion
– Face Mask
– Bubble Bath
– Hand and Face Wipes (for the Mom on the go!)
– Hershey Kisses (in spring colors to tie in “Hug & Kisses”)
– Floating Candles
Carefully (and strategically) add each item to ensure that everything fits…it’s best to add paper items like face mask first, then “squishable” items like loofahs to the bottom, and you can carefully layer bath salts, lotions, bubble bath, makeup, tissues, or any other items you’d like:
Finish up your jar by ribboning up some candy for the top with a floating candle, or you can just include the candle itself for simpler look. We GlueDotted our candles and candy to the top of each mason jar just to be sure that they’d stick around! LOL
You can also include a ribbon around the top edge with a little gift tag! We found a great template for Mother’s Day gift tags HERE. That we customized by printing our own message on the back!
These were a blast to make, and we know Mom will love them. How will you personalize your OWN Joy in a Jar? Share your results in a comment, or share your photos on our Facebook page!
